In a sunny corner of Chiado, there are always people basking in the sun outside Kaffeehaus enjoying a coffee and a chat, and on weekends the inside is always packed. Opening hours: Tues-Thur 11h – 00h Fri-Sat: 11h – 02h Sun 11h 20h
The vintage art deco setting with paneled walls and a decorative glass ceiling really make this place stand out. The food is good for lunch or just a snack, but above all, try their desserts- cheese cakes, lemon merengues, and divine chocolate brownie/cake.
There are tables on the steps outside this friendly place. The mainly Portuguese dishes have a modern touch. Lamb is a good option.
